I think you abstract got rejected because of the effor you’ve put in there. Right now all I see is.

Blurred backgroun, with pen strokes and outer glows…which doesn’t look that impressive. Also it kinda looks old school, and Low Quality.

Thanks for reply, but it’s not made with pen strokes or with outer glows. I’ve actualy seen that they accepted only blurred backgrounds and promoted it and for that to make you need how many minutes? 5? ;) What do you mean by “low quality” and “old school”? Lines were meant to be blurred, some of them less and some more.

I would remove the rendered clouds from the background and try using sharper gradients.

Also I would not recommend using inverted versions of the background, the reviews my thing of it as cutting corners.

By EliIsakov referring to the item as Old School he means the image looks dated. This style of graphic was popular 5-6 years ago…

Yeah whatever Mytich said…it looks a bit outdated style of graphic.

Even if you didn’t use pen strokes and out glow..honestly thats the proper way of doing them…with the right settings. I also understand what you mean by the blurred backgrounds, which only takes 5 minutes :P…It is what it is though…It gets sold shockingly, somehow…. :P but to be more specific, try to get for a BOKEH effect…Aurora effects, they seem to be in trend now.

Thanks for reply. I would try something else then. But I don’t know what do you mean by “rendered clouds”? I didn’t use them. It’s simply blurred image behind wavy lines. It’s actualy blur of one other abstract background that I didn’t mean to send here… :D

Yes, blurred backgrounds are promoted and are selling very well. It’s not that there’s anything wrong with them and they’re probably really useful for most backgrounds, but it’s much easier to do than this. I mean… it’s easier than easy… you only must use 1 button for it :)

Inverted? You mean reflected version? Yes, I made a horizontal reflection of it.

I think that I should try something else. At least they accepted something else from me today…

To my eye (not saying it is) it looks a lot like the rendered cloud effect from Photoshop.

I think I mentioned this in a previous post; but if you can make background sets containing a few patterns like those from Subtle Patterns. You would see your sales shoot up dramatically. Web designers love this site at the moment.

Yeah… thanks. I’ll come to such patterns, but first I like to do what I like to do. Sure, I would like to sell at least 1 billion (lol) of items, but there is time to play with all that.

What if we draw something… portrait for example and make something with it in photoshop.. could it sell? For example, I have this drawing (ok, I have many drawings) and if I try to make something with it to be suitable for background is it possible to sell here? Could it be accepted? http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/7800/drhouse2.jpg
