personally, i think the lighting should be improved but i cant seem to achieve the look i have in my head. i tried to create light strokes but they didn’t come out how i wanted.
here’s the reason i was given;
Why We've Declined Your Submission =1) Your file has some well done design concepts, however it does not meet the current and very stringent quality guidelines and we can not accept your file at this time. GraphicRiver recently announced a new policy for increased quality and design standards for accepted files. For more information, you can read about it here: http://graphicriver.net/forums/thread/important-new-quality-standards-on-graphicriver/35094 . To understand the quality of the files accepted to the GraphicRiver library, see the Popular Files list: http://graphicriver.net/page/top_sellers . If you would like feedback from your peers on improving your file, please visit the Item Discussion forum. (http://graphicriver.net/forums/topic/item-discussion/50 ) If you have a question on this rejection, you can also respond to this email and a reviewer will be glad to assist you.
You’ll need to work over this design somewhat here, considering things like the general style. Have a think about the tracking, leading, kerning, use of alignment, whitespace and proximity. Think about the font choice too and the general complexity.
2) Unfortunately, it appears there’s a problem with your Preview Image Set. Preview Image Sets should be zipped files which contain ONLY additional JPG previews of your submission. JPGs should typically be no larger than 900×900 pixels for easy viewing. JPGs should be named in a numeric order which will dictate the order in which they’re shown (i.e., 01_design.jpg, 02_closeup.jpg, 03_colorvariation.jpg…). Please do not include any other files in your Preview Set, and please do not include your preview JPGs in the main submission.
- Important: Improvements or fixes MUST be made to the above described areas before resubmitting. Resubmitting without making any of the requested changes violates our policy and repeated attempts may result in a temporary or permanent suspension of authorship rights.
..done!
so what say you your opinion is very much appreciated
cheers

The elements seem to be stretched and low in quality, things like the central ‘standby’ symbol look like they’ve been roughly cut out.
The layer style on the fonts could be tidied up and have a little more effort put in. Right now it seems a little bit rushed.
The information text needs more contrast, it’s really difficult to see it against the background.
RE point 2), providing you have shown your flyer well enough in the preview image, you don’t additional preview images so you may as well delete them.
i didn’t quite get your ‘point 2’ about the additional preview images..please rephrase
the standby symbol was properly cut, for some reason it looks abit wonky here, i made it in 3d and rendered it with an alpha channel which i then used to select it so im pretty sure it was cut properly.
thanks for the feedback though..im struggling with the layer effects you mentioned, im thinking of using mainly 3d headings but then not every PS is 3d capable.
have you got any links to tuts on layer effects?
thanks again

Point two, you don’t need additional preview images for a flyer.
In regards to using 3D elements, you need to make sure your flyer is as editable as possible for the customer, so try to avoid using rendered 3D elements for text etc.
ahh you are a legend! really appreciate your help mate im already a premium member so ill get cracking with those and hopefully come back better.
point taken about the 3d elements..i really love their effect on an image so ill rethink other ways to use them..
they also said something about design principles in the reject email..got anything for that? the link i found didn’t really do justice to the topic.
thanks again mate. cheers
