Guys! What is the order of your work – you make a video first and then pick him for the music or vice versa – first select the audio track, and then under it create a video sequence?
I personally start from the audio so i don’t have problems syncing music to video later.

I somehow get the opposite. Am I one such a dumb?
Same here, music first. Helps to give feel and style, and obviously syncing if needed.

Different strokes for different folks. If it works for you then keep doing it that way.

I usually start with the audio track. I drop the music into the video editor and render a simple animatic with color solids and text so I have a visual representation of the song. Imo it’s easier to keep the pase consistant this way.

First I start with an idea! After this I sketch something in AI, PS or AE. After a solid design, I look for some audio that best fits in the original idea. But several times I got an idea from some inspiring music…
I usually start with Audio first as it’s easier for me to animate to an amazing track than find an amazing track that “happens” to sync up with my music (with a bit of editing of course)

yocreative saidLol, yes the idea comes first!! I like to start on paper and then make a sketch of the audio track. For my freelance work the process is more complex: idea / sketch / storyboard / music / animatic / composing / animation / editing / sfx / grading.
