Okay, I understand that many of the themes can be adjusted for non-English. However, what I would like to know is there a theme that would allow multiple languages to “co-exist” at the same time. For example, you have a main blog in English, but you could have a drop down menu in the header where you can convert the blog and menu to another language such as Spanish, Chinese, French, etc etc. I know you would need to add the same articles in another language and translate the menu system, but I was curious if any themes had this already built in?
There is a WPML plugin for WordPress that lets you do this. Be careful though, as not every theme supports WPML . You’ll have to ask an author before purchase if his theme works with WPML – usually there is a lot of development work to be done to achieve WMPL compatibility. Some simple blogging themes may work with WPML out of the box, but not the complex corporate/portfolio ones from TF.
Anyway, always ask the author about plugin compatibility.
I purchased WPML but considering other plugins as well, like these two:

I’ve built couple of multilingual websites using qtranslate, there are even addons to it to allow permalink translation, and it’s really flexible tool. But you need to dive into code of theme sometimes.
