Had two out years and years ago. Of the remaining two, one is impacted which means it grows sideways and never surfaced above gum level.

All of which adds up to: I’m not very wise.

had mine out when i was 19. Last thing i can remember was the nurse asking me “can you feel this” then i was out cold and woke up with my mouth stuffed with gauze pads.

Remener the dentist have a problem and I was on surgery for 7 hours.. ;(

Yeah, this was my second try at it. I had the first two out 4 years ago. Both on my right side, I got knocked out in the chair at 9am, and woke up in my bed at 8pm with a mouth filled with gauze. The surgeon did such a bad job, I still have to un-hinge my jaw when I’m eating or brushing my teeth, just to get my mouth to open past a certain point. I think that’s why I waited so long to get the other two out.

These were also impacted, and every time they would shift slightly it would move all of my other teeth. Which ended up pushing some up higher than my normal bite line. Messing up my alignment. I couldn’t put it off any longer so I went earlier today. It was not nearly as bad as it was last time. Still bleeding a good bit now, but other than the pain from the surgery, I’m good to go.

Mark – been there, done that—main thing to worry about is dry sockets, and to relieve pain I found using a few drops of clove oil worked better than anything (google it re ‘clove oil tooth pulled”). get well soon. having teeth out is no fun at all. ‘ensure’ liquid meal drinks are great.
