So basically, big majority of authors are on PC, but big majority of them would like to work on Mac. I’ll believe myself when I say that it’s because of operating system, and not because of Mac’s design or Apple’s brand. So, if you really want it for it’s great OS (if someone told me few years ago that I’ll dump Windows, I would have said to him that he’s crazy), there is always a solution – power and lower price of components, and awesome and cheap Mac OS X . Hackintosh community is really big and any problem that you encounter during installation will be resolved on their great forum. It’s totally legal, so join flashato and me if you’re out of budget and if you’re not into Mac’s just for bragging.
I’m not so sure that this is legal. It’s not supported by Apple and you have to patch the OS before it even starts to boot.

“a friend of mine , lawyer asked apple about hackintos and they told him that they will not support him if he has any problems with his machine but it is LEGAL to install Mac OS on a pc if he has BOUGHT the os dvd from apple and has PAID for it . if he has paid for anything he has got from apple , they don’t have a problem with this .” So, if I buy installation from Store (which is cheap), I should be able to install it where ever I want, as long as it’s for one computer.
I don’t know… the fact that such a hearsay is posted on some forums doesn’t make it true or right. And anyway… to get OSX to run on a PC you have to alter/patch some of the components of the system and I guess if you cross that line then this whole thing gets at least partially illegal.
I’m not lawyer and maybe I’m wrong but I just have this feeling that this isn’t totally legal.
PC… More universal.

Mac or PC: Which do you use?
this is the thread:) so stay with this…........
Mac, and i’m never switching, even if the only difference in the adobe suite for mac is that the help feature actually works! so much easier than all the menu diving you must do on a PC.

That would make for a boring thread. A bit of drift from the OP isn’t a bad thing.
