Hello people of earth,

My new template is now available (check my portfolio ;) ) and i just create a landing page to promote it…

http://discover.devilcantburn.com/Videoline/

Do you think it’s a good thing to put the demo url (in the item detail) to this landing page and so after you can click on “try demo” to view the real demo, or it’s a good way to lose the potential buyer between the landing page and the real template ?

What do you think about ?

Thanks a lot !! ;) Julian

Looks nice, I think it might be confusing to have a landing page with so much stuff on it as the preview though. What % of non web-savy users do you think might not realize that it’s a landing page and not the actual theme?

I wouldn’t use the LP as the Live Preview URL on TF, brainbuzzmedia said it all :)

But you could use that LP for other channels, like if you’re using Adwords, BSA or Facebook ads ;)

Also, remember to set clear expectations when asking someone for their email. Subscribe for updates is good, but I think it’s a little too broad, as I guess you’ll be promoting to that list, right? :)

Wow. Excellent landing page on it’s own this is!!

There is a case for people thinking it’s the theme itself but quite honestly, the buttons are clear enough so keep it up for a week and see what happens.

I went with a a screenshot approach to my recent themes landing page – I found that showing the themes for preview boosted sales quite a lot more than I anticipated.

Sweet theme by the way. Your themes are great.
