He y’all,
I am looking for a jQuery (I am certain this is the best solution for what I want) tutorial/snippet that will allow me to create the following effect: link

Click on an image, and you’ll notice that this opens to a div (with extended text and info) pushing the rest of the elements/divs. Any ideas?

Thanks a bunch.
Chris :)

It doesn’t seem that complex. What you really need is to start a javascript, jQuery refresher from 0 and ajax with jQuery, make sure you understand the basics well and so on. If you have a good understanding of these, you can reverse-engineer the effect little by little.

Learning by tutorial is not the most efficient method. You can learn for instance how to make a slider, or a gallery, but at the same time, this can be done in several different ways, there is no single solution. If you know the language(javascript) and the library(jQuery), you could even notice how a tutorial could be improved or notice implementation mistakes.

If you have the proper resources and motivation, it won’t take you very long, maybe a week or so to refresh your memory in regards to javascript and jquery. I suggest starting with a tutorial/book on object-oriented javascript.
