Hi everyone. I’ve been working on my first CodeCanyon item for about a month now. My initial development is nearly done, and I’m gearing up to start phase two.
Phase two, in case you’re curious, involves a web-based customization app for my item. I’ve been playing around with ideas in my head but, since I’ve never actually sold anything here yet, I’m not entirely sure how it’s going to work.To get to the point, my question is whether or not item sales have a unique ID. For example:
Item Name | Buyer | Amount | Sale IDThe reason I ask is that I don’t want just anyone to have access to my customization app as I plan on having it generate code for my plugin. My plan is to grab the usernames and sale IDs, shove them into a DB, and make the users authenticate themselves as actual buyers to gain access to the customization app.

No buyer information is given to the author , although you could do it with the API , similar to how author do logins for their private forums, but I’m not sure buyer would like that concept so it may hurt your sales
