I watched a film yesterday and saw an awesome titles there. Now i want to create a template, which will be similar(on 80-90% i think) as these titles. Is it legal ? Also found very creative idea on TV ad. Can I copy it and use in my template ?

Dont want to start until I’ll be sure that this is legal and these templates won’t be banned\deleted ot smth.

I think it’s fine, because you’re creating them from scratch, spending time and efforts. Unless you’re using some leaked source files from the web or something like that…

EDIT :

Interesting question… Maybe some people will call it as “Inspiration”, others will call it as “Copy paste”. We have a lot of examples on Videohive :D

I believe a while back it was decided that “movie inspired” trailers won’t be accepted anymore, but let’s wait for the officials to chime in.

Consider how you would react if you had created those film titles and then discovered imitation templates being sold on stock sites like this.

Not sure if I’d be overly impressed.

Legal, ethical and respectable are 3 different things. We all try hard not to create any projects that aren’t these 3 things. If you compare your project at the end and feel like an idea thief, then the sales will only make you feel guilty and miserable, and you project may be removed later on.

Be creative! Be inspired, but don’t settle for imitation. Innovate :) Happiness will follow.

Copying someones idea can result in serious legal coincidences (if this idea was copyrighted).
Marishka, try to be extremely cautious where you get inspired… Being original is always the best option!
