Can I sell a web design that’s done in Illustrator? that’s where I do all my comps.

nop! design will done on psd, WEB DESIGN . maybe will u get some tutorial that save AI files to psd layered files.

Since you aren’t required to provide a design file with your items, I don’t see any reason why you can’t design it in whatever program you’d like. An Illustrator file might not be helpful to a lot of buyers (most prefer Photoshop) but if that’s what you use are your tool, then it’s ok.

Just be aware that many buyers might not be open or knowledgeable enough to use it as they would a Photoshop file.

Remember also that you’re not required to provide the design file in download package either way.

Thanks Jami, now I’m wondering if I should have used my name as my id, oh well, maybe I can change it…what do you mean by ‘design file’ ?? wouldn’t I give them the whole illustrator file?

I think there a bit of confusion here (sorry if im wrong).

Jami seems to think that you want to design a website in illustrator, then code it in html, css , wordpress and then sell that template.

But i think what you were asking was if its possible to design a template in illustrator and then just sell the illustrator file, like a psd template.

The first is possible without any problems, the second is not possible, as far as i know.
