Hello, I really need your help, experienced author. I have submitted twice, and reviewer didn’t approve my theme. Here is my demo: http://fancyshop.fancycodes.com/

They list following issues: 1) Many of the elements in the template are not aesthetically spaced. 2) The template’s overall typography isn’t yet ready. It needs improvements in the styles it offers and general visual hierarchy. 3) Template’s overall aesthetics and details requires refinements. (Shadows, gradients, etc)

But I really have no idea about which elements they were talking about, and really don’t understand where I should improve.

This is my first time to post work on themeforest, so just wonder why reviewers never tell the specific details about issues they think.

Anyone can give me any advices? Thanks a lot.

Hi,
First of all, don’t feel bad about the rejection. Rejections are all about learning. Sounds lame but it really is. Items on TF (and other marketplaces of Envato) must meet the high quality standards. Here you will find more substantive information about what the reviewer tries to explain
Also take a look at these items. Not to discourage you. Just to inspire you on some improvements.

Goodluck to you.

Thanks for your reply. Actually, I’m not feeling bad about the rejection. But I hope I could know know the specific reasons, not just saying “your need to improve your design” or “requires refinements”. It is too abstract and too general. Every designer is following what he/she thinks right. If I can’t even know where is wrong, there is really no way to improve. lol

Well hopefully the links I included will guide you. The first link points out the main issues as typography, consistency and spacing, also this one and this one. Besides that, try to stand out.
This site links to the best galleries at the moment: Trendsetting ones!

I realize that my tips are not as specific as you wish. However if you read the article carefully and apply the given examples to your own I’m sure you will start seeing it. :-)
