atinder saidi was playing bf3 with freshface just a little bit ago. He has a mac. He uses bootcamp to play games ;D
i bought MBP recently. As per my experience its good for a developer or designer but not for games. Yea OSx gives really awesome environment to work![]()
it’s more the graphics card you want to be worried about with a MBP , you’ll be able to get a better one on a PC but it depends really how much you game and whether you have to have the quality settings on ‘realistic’ whilst playing…
@RelStudios – they aren’t cheap, roughly $4-5k for top spec

$2500 for the 17”, which is awesome
I have a 15” MBP with 8Gb Ram, no qualms since I’m able to play SC2 nicely without closing my dev apps
Qosmio owner for more than 3 years. Can’t complain a bit.
If size doesnt matter buy a qosmio, thew new version is way thinner than mine
I would buy the MacBook Pro.
But it depends on your favourite OS.

My wife has the. Sony vaio , lime green thing. Biggest issue is screen resolution. But it’s nice, that’s my product review for that. But they do have quite good performance

It’s fast, good battery life. Fires up fairly fast. However it is heavy, I think she pain $1800 for it. I think now her model is around $1300
Best laptop we ave had. We have a few, did a quick count up…we have one Sony , two hps one tosh and a dead tosh and a dean advent.I’ll see which one I choose

I wouldn’t choose Sony, if that is the choices you are giving yourself then go with the Mac.

I will go with Mac then
I see that many of you use or used to have a Mac and it seems that it runs quite good
Though, I have one question to ask, can I install on my current laptop some OS similar to what Mac has ? I want to get used to the interface before buying the Mac

Just wait and make it a surprise. It’s infinitely superior.
honestly i dont read the whole thread, but i was crazy about 3 month with the same question. which i the right notebook for me. i saw, read, tested a lot, anyway… all win notebooks were kind of crap. really cheap materials and good hardware, of good materials and worse hardware. i ended up in the apple store and bought a mac book 13. used it 2 years till i bought this march a mac book pro 15…
i really don’t miss any windows stuff or hardware problems, every cent seems right invested. i am really enjoy the advantages of mac books…
