Hey there,
I currently own a ASUS X52J , and I want to buy a new laptop but it’s quite hard deciding on which to buy.
I have in mind this brands, Apple ( MacBook Pro ), Dell ( not sure which ), Sony Vaio ( not sure which ). Could you help me out with this ?
Budget?
Please also take into consideration Toshiba. Those laptops are beasts

Only you can find out the right device. What will you use it for? If you are not sure, you probably don’t need one but have some money that you want to spend

Quality Products, Quality Materials, Flexibility… Even consider that they made the first laptop… So it’s a matter of tradition. Qosmio is a good class of laptops from Toshiba.

Pretty satisfied with it (is my second vaio), although battery life is limited due to the powerful screen dimensions. 17’

i’ve heard toshiba are very good but keep your money as far away from dell as possible, not good builds.
I bought a MBP and ramped the specs up to the max and it takes almost anything I throw at it, plus I can dual boot for windows and osx so I can test in any environment

I own a Toshiba Satellite and I can’t complain. Don’t get a HP or Sony – it will cost more and it won’t be necessarily better.
I also own a Toshiba Satellite L655 -175 – White. i5 450m @ 2.4Ghz, 500GB HDD , ATI 5650 1GB 128-bit, 4GB of RAM and it came with no operating system, which was muchly desired ‘feature’ by me. I bought it last year, in October.
I can’t whine at all, there hasn’t been one thing that would put my CPU to a constant 100%, even though I tried hard. The Graphic Card works great in both Adobe Creative Suite and Games (with details on Ultra & High).
So… I’d say, go with Toshiba. I firstly wanted a Sony Vaio, but ended with a Toshiba
