In my opinion, it’s going to be hard to sell tutorials since there are so many free ones floating around.
As I’ve stated before, while I certainly understand where this is coming from, it just doesn’t hold up. As the graphs show, the sales were far better before than they are now, yet the competition has stayed the same. You could also say “It’s going to be hard to sell WordPress themes, since there are so many free ones floating around”. The same could be said for GraphicRiver, Photodune, AudioJungle, and all the marketplaces except for perhaps CodeCanyon and FlashDen, but even for them there are a wealth of free resources.
