You’ll need to work over this design somewhat here, considering things like the general style. Have a think about the tracking, leading, kerning, use of alignment, whitespace and proximity. Think about the font choice too and the general complexity.

If any can pinpoint the flaws please do so, cause am still learning

I mailed support hopefully the reviewer would give some helpful feedback.

Why you still focus for Flyer? Why not for other Items? But, GOOD LUCK … The reviewer says is true… Think for unique design, typography, etc…

Ok, at first, why did you choose a »bling bling bliiing« Style for a flyer with a »Hard Rock« theme? It really doesn‘t match or support each other. Did you just did it, cause you like this glitter style? I don‘t really get the connection between it :). Think about. what Hard Rock is all about. It‘s direct, it‘s dirty, loud and directly in you face. So you should have used this attributs in your visual solution – the flyer. I didn‘t want to go to this party cause I would think, they Play Dixie Chicks paired with some really funky Glamrock in a cheap location. This is, what the flyer is »saying« to me.

Get hard, get loud and don‘t try to be a diamond between muddy rocks.

For the typographical part, it‘s really a bad choice of fonts to use and you‘ve overdone it with the Texteffects. Try to keep in mind: »Less is more.« The Headline typeface you choose looks wired to me. Did you strech the font in it‘s vertical height? It really looks like that and the top of the »A« is just out of place here. It seems like, you converted the type into pixels or a shape and added the top of the letter. Don‘t ever strech or distort a Font, without a VERY good reason to do it. Typefaces are designed by professionals wich also thought about the rations between the thick/thin strokes and especially the height-length-ratio of the font. If you strech or distort the font in any case, you destroy these rations and ruin the whole font character. It‘s not forbidden to distort them, but you will need a whole bunch of experience, to do it right. Also look at the kerning. The type doesn’t flow realy well. For example, take a look at the word »HARD.« It doesn‘t really look like HARD but H ARD . The Space between the H and the A is far to much while the space between the A and the R is to small. Also you should have a look at the ROCK especially the R and the O (SPACE).

So, let‘s to the next point. The typeface you‘ve just at NICKLEBACK is ok and can be taken. It‘s bold, strong and stabil. But WHY did you choose a script font for the other bandnames? I really don‘t know any Hard Rock band, wich writes it‘s name in a script font :).

Ok, I could take this a bit further, but I will shorten it a bit. Get rid of this scarry background (or decrease it‘s presense in the layout). It‘s disturbing. Get rid of the tribal tattoo in the backgorund. Choose another font, do not distort the font in any case. Try to get a ROCK FEELING . Listen to some hard rock, while designing the flyer. Does it sound like your flyer looks like ;)? Try to get a visual hirachy. What is important at the first, sencond and third view? What should the people read first and so on. Don‘t make it »bling bling« if it not fits to the needs of the design. Think about: »Form follows function« and »Less is more« in a design way. These two sentences are the KEY for a good design. Think about reduction: Everything that can be taken away from a layout, without disturbing the function, should be taken away from it.

And so on. Hope I could help you in this case and excuse me for my bad english. Sadly it‘s not my native language :).

I would delete this flyer, take it as a training and start again from the scratch :)
