It happens in different ways. One time I put 22 works for a month and my total sales just plummeted. I thought I did something netak. However, in the next month, overall sales grew by 50% although I have not posted a single new item.

Probability theory is very whimsical piece =))))

@SonicCube – Would you mind saying a little bit about how you promoted your files? Was it just facebook and twitter, or did you use other sources. Thanks

Sure i share my experiences with you :)

First of all, i had to realize, that i could not make a big use of my contacts and channels from the time when i was producing for record labels etc.

As Tim allready mentioned, i guess Youtube is the best way to promote your music. Helpfull is also, if you have some sort of video to one of your best tracks for Youtube.

Ask your self, who could use your music best ? What type of music do you upload to AJ ? Where would this people “hang around” in the internet ? How could you be a part of this place / community as well and get in touch with them.

Be more then friendly with your customers, Tim also said, that this is painfull sometimes, but hey … you do it for yourself :)

Thats basically what i do, sounds easy, but takes a large amount of my time. I spend double the time promoting compared to the time i’m in the studio.

Good luck and i hope it helps :)

Yup!! Being a professional composer you spend 10% of your time actually writing music, and 90% of your time doing all the things that enable you to write music for a living in the first place. :)
