Hey guys,

I’ve an dvd (AUDIO_TS and VIDEO _TS folder) that I want to upload to YouTube so I guess I have to make it a .avi or something?

I searched around but couldn’t find any solutions to create an .avi or other video file from it. I tried to import it in Premiere but it says it doesn’t recognize the files and there are lots of sites that says they have the greatest tool for doing that but doesn’t trust most sites.

Any suggestion is much appreciated!

Try to change the extension from .vob to .mpg Then import it in premiere or upload it as it is.

If you have CS4 or CS5 Premier than you can import .vob files and then just export it in what ever format you need. Also try to get program called ” ProCoder 3 ”. It’s the best converter tool ever. You can convert from any format to any format.

Hi,WPScientist , I have met the same problem, and hope can help you. I bought a OJOsoft VOB to AVI converter first, and found that the AVI file can’t play well. I called the customer service, they said the DVD can’t be copied or edited if it was a copyrighted one, because it was encrypted and they suggested I use the DVD Ripper. At last, I had to buy the DVD Ripper, it works very well and I got what I want. So you need know whether your DVD is an legal edition or not.

Here are the links of the two products: http://www.ojosoft.com/dvd/dvd-ripper.html http://www.ojosoft.com/how-to-convert/vob-to-avi-converter.html

I hope it can help you. Good Luck!

Exactly! This is the easiest and imho best way…. :) You can import .mpg anywhere, including After Effect and Adobe media Encoder….
