Flash and WP

Just a quick question for anyone out there who uses WordPress a lot:

I made a flash menu for the pages. Had to re-write certain pieces of the classes.php (list_pages() function from the Walker thingie). Is there a smarter way to do this? Like write a special widget class or whatever? If so, any links on the subject?

I find the wp docs a bit too fragmented and it’s the first time I’ve seen it, so any help would be appreciated! Been googling a bit, but can’t seem to find what I’m looking for.

ps. I have no probs with PHP , so all I need is some proper pointers on how to make it work without distorting the original setup.
