Feedback please

Hi, I’ve been working on this site for a last few weeks, and if anyone could give me some advice I would appreciate it.

For me the navigation font doesn’t look retro, kinda looks Times Roman-y to me. The body fonts don’t look that retro also. But the bottom progress part looks cool.

I also don’t like the red lines on the sides of the body. Not sure about this, I think the thing that I don’t like about them is that the content gets cut off on those red lines during the transition.

The “coming since 1965” can be smaller too

Thank you for your time, and advice, I’ll see what I can do. About font, I was going for “newspaper” look, but yeah, you’re right, it’s not quite “retro”. I’ll try to improve that.

Nice work, it looks quite unique, but I don’t like the font you’ve used for menu items and slogan. Also, you should make “typography” page so users can see all fonts and fontsizes you’re using.

Btw, I noticed something more. It’s quite image intensive. Might be able to replace some with some CSS , or better yet CSS3 for multibackgrounds. One image which is a background is 80kb+, which is behind another background thats 15kb.

Also, do you mind peer reviewing my rejected theme also?

Yeah, but most of images used are still uncompressed jpegs and layered pngs, i’ll fix that at the end.
