Hey guys I wondered if I could get some input on my rejected theme.
It’s a CV/portfolio WordPress template and this is my rejection reason.
I’m sorry but there’s not enough significant changes.
1. The menu will need big improvements in terms of design plus you’re not providing drop down menus, thus it’ll be hard to compete in the marketplaces.
2. Very Classica-ish and it doesn’t bring anything new to the table.
3. The slider looks kind of unestyled, the next-prev buttons doesn’t look good.
4. Very flat.
Overall template typography needs additional refinements and improvements before it will be ready for Theme Forest. The template needs improvements in visual hierarchy primarily using typographic elements such as headings.
There is a lot of inconsistent spacing/padding issues throughout the template. I’d like you to go over the design with a fine toothed comb and weed out these basic design issues.
Try to make your theme’s design more unique. Adding features, options and styles will help increase your theme’s value and increase its ability to be approved. However, a unique design will be a key factor for approval. Remember that a lot of themes that get submitted use the same layout and we have to make sure only the absolute best are on sale here.
Great start but this theme will need significant improvements before it can be approved for sale.
Most of it is stuff I understand/can easily fix I guess it’s point 4 and below I could do with some help with.
Thanks in advance
Surely it’s not that bad
