I am using the Swagger theme. In the “Feature Image Link” within a post, I am wanting to put an url link in but I want the link to open in the same window. The function opens it in a new window and there doesn’t seem to be an option to change it?

Is there a way to change it in the source code somewhere Thanks Donna

Hello,

I’m the author of that theme. It’s the strangest thing. No one has asked to do this before on any of my themes except for in the last week I’ve had about 4-5 people ask me this question in one way or another.

For next update this will be an option. I hope to update all five of my responsive themes this weekend. So, in your case look for Swagger 1.1.1 to be posted Monday morning when the ThemeForest reviewers are back at after the weekend.

Thanks Jason – that worked brilliantly. The doco you provide as always is excellent. I have another question: In a Post, when you set a featured image, we would like it to be a YouTube video. When you select the video option, you can enter the URL of YouTube but then it just puts a hyperlink in the blog text rather than displaying the starting image of the video with the play button in it?

Is this something that you have on your list to change. As a work around I have had to put in a static image with a play button on it to simulate to peopl that it is a video to click on – when they click it goes out to Youtube then. Thanks again for the 1.1.1 update – much appreciated especially the turn around Donna

Have worked out how to get the Link image over the post’s featured image so for now that satisfies my query – so don’t spend any time looking further at this. Thanks again Donna

Sorry Jason – Could you have a look at the video Link image that I mentioned in the lastreply. I have a work around but it would be better if we could automatically embed the video into the featured image of the post. We are posting a lot of videos and doing it the manual workaround is very time consuming and prone to error. Thanks Donna
