I stop to back up my daily stuff on a physical drive 2 month ago, and now I use 100GB paid account on dropbox for daily backup (on the long run it’s not enough backup space so i need to look at the 1 TB plan around $800 for 1 TB , but I guess that will only save you money if you have a physical server back and i don’t have a server ).
Bu it’s just great I don’t need to worry about physical drive any more ….
a month before my one and only internal HDD fails
Raid is not backup. You should backup to a completely separate HDD or online backup.

Hm, how do you manage the dropbox content? You are using other than the single dedicated dropbox folder?
... Seems that all the Skydrive, Google Drive and Dropbox .. use only a single dedicated folder for that and is pretty annoying

Wasn’t easy and for sure i don’t back up everything on a daily base(as older you get changing habits is so hard
) just my daily work and my original pc folders ,
naturally you cannot backup your pc/mac the way you do it with physical drive.
But once you get use to folders backup it’s not issue any more, and today with all our mobile crap we have ..why use physical drive when you can have access from everywhere ,
also why back up everything on a daily basses? at the end of the day i throw all my live work there and move on+ for me having access from everywhere + mobile(I do have some issue with the API sometime ) option and true cross-platform and share link is a huge plus with dropbox .
I use it now for 2 month and i love it, and i am much more organize now to my surprise …half the stuff at the past i couldn’t never find any way in the mountains of back i use to do with physical drive… ,but you know do what best for you …

I don’t use physical HD anymore too.
I use a combination of Dropbox (files, documents, etc) + svn (projects).
Here’s an interesting post by Jesse Freeman using a combination of both:

I may agree, but:
- google has all my email traffic (including invoices, documents, etc)
- paypal has my money
- register hosts my website
- facebook/twitter/google+ know what I like and what I don’t
- linkedin has all my data
- ...
The list is so long my head hurts
