Hey Parker or Kent,
I thought about this too. But the first question that comes up for me., is this techique more secure for us authors?
I mean the users gets the source code and when you build an activation in the admin, the users can hack it when they are familiar with php.
Or is there a method to create an activation which is hard to hack. This question keeps me busy for a while….

well, obviously with the sources is possible, but if you have like me 200+ php script and put some controls here and there using fake variable names like $sidebar_control etc… then it became hard to really get rid of it… at least you make the pirate life harder

What about a small sidebar form that says: “I can get this Free from (Enter URL ) __ ” submit [button].
then Users and Authors can Report items easily – then have the URLS sent to a DCMA app?
would that even work?
followed by a small box that says: “Thanks for Reporting this Item”
