Haha i suppose im being a bit greedy! I didnt know what a “good” level of sales was as i only started the royalty free game recently so I suppose I’m doing better than I think.

I dont really have a secret! I just record melodic catchy guitar songs most of the time and try and make the production as good as it can be. Pretty much all my tracks have been written and recorded since I started my profile. I tend to write the track as I record it if that makes sense. Just works best for me. Ive also done a few ambient loops and piano ballads but the guitar based indie/pop genre seems to be my strong point so i focus on that most of the time.

I suppose its just getting harder to be noticed as there is a constant flow of new authors and files.

Yeah, I was figuring. I thought about doing that lately. Set up a template in Cubase, and just start writing things on the flow. Take a little noodle idea and run with it. Actually, I’ve done for a few projects recently and darn I was surprised how fast I could get something finished. You mentioned you added a website and such. Have you found that’s made a difference? I’ve starting doing the same thing, liking files ect. Just a bit time consuming at times, so it’s a slow build up. But thats great, thanks for the tips.

Its probably too soon to know if the website etc has had any impact as I only set it up a couple of weeks ago. My hope was that it would help generate freelance work so i guess il see over the coming months if its had any impact. Im currently going through my tracks and updating the tags from my early uploads. This is boring!!!
