miseld saidActually, that the reason to upgrade to Gtx cards with Cuda. So you won’t be in pain
“Painfully (bordering on impossibly) slow to work with and to render.” i don’t need this![]()
Anyhow, here is around $500, and for same money you can get gtx 680 with 1500 cuda processors and 2gb vram on 6000Mhz, and yet it’s beaten in computing power by gtx580, and even gtx560 ti. So Cuda cores are not only sign of how some card will work in AE. It’s awesome for gaming, but not for real work. So best option is to get Adobe certified gtx580, and later, when prices go down, add another one in sli and enjoy.- Microlancer Beta Tester

I have sent you an email
I found a solution for cards that are not listed on Adobe’s site: http://www.studio1productions.com/Articles/AfterEffects.htm They made an unlocker that enables any non-Kepler (gtx 6xx series) Nvidia card to be used in After Effects CS6 . YEY !

NOTE : The GTX 680 and other 600 series of video cards will NOT work with ray-tracing 3D render engine. See note at end of this chart.
Oh, I wanted to buy HD6950 /HD7950 so badly…looks like I need to gather more info about how this improves working in CS6 and how is nVidia going with their cards.

Yes, gtx 6xx series uses new Kepler architecture and they are not supported. But now, authors have much wider choice than those few Adobe certified. I’ll consider gtx590 now.

Yea, I bought my 6870 in October, and now, I’ll need to swap it with Geforce card. Note that new 3d renderer works only with Nvidia cards, because they made Cuda technology.
