So, does the author get it or does it only show the $2 extra in their statement?

Please be respectful to the mods even if you don’t entirely agree with them.
To answer your question, yes. Authors will get a percentage of the total sales of the item whether it’s (for example) a $30 or $32 sale.

In my humble opinion if a problem has been solved, the topic can be locked, rather than having it come back to life after 2 years with a spam message and having useless stuff that’s not topic related in there, locking it when a problem is solved is the best solution! Especially for a question with a simple answer!

You get 50% to 70% from those +2 dollars. Which is basically from $1 to $1.4, accordingly.
P.S. Oh, I am REALLY slow with replies lately. I have to stop hitting the Reply button and then going for a drink.

I was under the impression that you cannot charge a surcharge to a PayPal order! Look at terms of service Number 5. Very clearly stated.

It’s not a surcharge. The real price is the one with $2 added, you get a discount if you buy with credits.

you just dig up an old thread.
anyway, is not a surcharge. 42$ not 40$ for example, is the real price, but if you deposit some money into the marketplace account then you get a discount of 2$ for every purchase. Pretty nice don’t you think?
