Yeah it’d be nice, with some rule like you must have at least one file, or one file with a sale to avoid noobs spamming it and to keep their discussions to the main forums.
I think maybe SBJEWEL has misunderstood – by suggesting you want ‘Everyone Here’ do you mean we want to shut everyone out?
What we mean (I think) is to have an additional tab up on the top with an Author Discussion or such like…
- Sold between 10 000 and 50 000 dollars
- Author was Featured
- Contributed a Tutorial to a Tuts+ Site
- Referred between 1000 and 1999 users
- Bought between 10 and 49 items
- Repeatedly Helped protect Envato Marketplaces against copyright violations
- Has been a member for 2-3 years
- Exclusive Author
- Czech Republic
+10 additional TAB for Authors only should be really cool. Some of the topics should be really only for Authors Eyes.
- Microlancer Beta Tester
- Repeatedly Helped protect Envato Marketplaces against copyright violations
- Contributed a Blog Post
- Author had a Free File of the Month
- Has been a member for 3-4 years
- Europe
- Bought between 10 and 49 items
- Referred between 1 and 9 users
- Exclusive Author
@quickandeasy +1
I raised the same question a few months back. We really do need an authors only area so potential customers don’t see complaints and issues raised by authors it lowers a buyers opinion.
+!

EDIT : this is anyway only author forum as you see. If there were some closed forum, this public forum would be empty. Than the market place would be like any other selling site boring and cold from the buyer piont of view. What encourage people to buy and me also is the sense of feedback and interaction.
The reason I brought this up is because it has been mentioned in various posts (can’t refer to them right now) where sellers have asked for it.
It may be just a moot discussion until Envato decides whether they want to implement one!
I only thought authors posted in the forums. I really don’t see anyone else posting other than authors.

You are right, that most of the posts are from authors, but I think that some of the topics should be discussed and seen only by authors.

What if buyers start to take authors quiz just to get in and spy
