Hey,
I created my first PSD template:
This PSD theme got rejected becasue of the following reasons:
“Unfortunately this item does not meet our current technical quality requirements and cannot be accepted at this time.”
Any tips or suggestions on how to improve my theme?
- Sold between 250 000 and 1 000 000 dollars
- Author was Featured
- Item was Featured
- Author had a File in an Envato Bundle
- Has been a member for 3-4 years
- Referred between 200 and 499 users
- Bought between 50 and 99 items
- United States
Generally it’s a not so bad work. Dont give up and try to improve it. Add more space, clean up colors (now it looks very “grey”), totally rework your typography (it looks really unprofessional), make it more smooth and work more on details.
Good luck!
Thanks for help!
I will try to improve it.

First thing that I noticed is the horizontal spacing. Give everything more room to breath
Text should have a lineheight of around 1.6em (which is like 21px with a font size of 13px). Though this depends on the design
Also think about what you want to pop out, and what information is less important (color/size wise). Also, the dots in the ribbon are too hard in my opinion.
Anyways, you’re going in the right direction with this
Best of luck!
ITS AWESOME
Thanks a lot !
This is first template in my life
I am grateful for all opinion
Increase line height, get rid of the green, add some color to the logo ribbon (perhaps some engaging red), reduce the noise by 50-70%, reduce the opacity of the lines/dividers by 50%, don’t use inner-shadow on text, add some more padding in tight areas (pagination, page borders, etc), basically rework the typography (both the heading and body copy isn’t very fun to read right now), get rid of the pattern on input boxes (comment form).
Very helpful !
Thanks
as amazingly appealing this item is, it is also very generic, smashing had a article on current art/web trends and you hit a few.
I thought it was great until the small picture loaded fully. So I figure the footer ruins it for me. Work on the colors and contrast. I would like to see a very dark footer here. like #212121 or similar.
