It happens to everyone. You need some push in life to get motivated. It actually really depends on how you look at life.

Try it without the sitting in front of the computer bit. :)

Go for a walk or something. So much to see away from the screen and there’s nothing like a bit of exercise to perk up the mood.

Having a hot shower and cup of coffee will get you on-board.

I think most all of us have been there at one time or another, so we feel for you. Different things work for different people, but I find that a hot shower, maybe a good cup’o’joe (coffee) and getting outside for a bit does a lot to get me going for the day.

I know it’s tempting to also stay up late and sleep in, but if you can get yourself to go to sleep a little earlier and get up early and then start your morning routine, you’ll feel like you’re taking more advantage of the day and you’ll feel more productive. This all generally leads to a better sense of well being and outlook on life. :)

One thing that helps me sometimes when I’m really dragging is to just stop thinking and just start doing. ;)

So what do you exactly mean, depression or just a lack of inspiration? An inspiration can be recovered easily, like guys said, – coffe, shower, walking. Anything that will draw your thoughts away and bring new feelings. Depression though is much worse. I myself have recently recovered from quite a deep depression. Two weeks of being unable to do anything at all. ANYTHING ! I couldn’t work, relax, sleep, communicate. Oh, that was a terrible time. Just remember, if you feel yourself really bad – find a way to relax, nothing is worth your health.

Kind of depends on what you’re ‘depressed’ about, there’s certain work-arounds for different things but if you’re lacking inspiration, take a walk like Felt said.

Whenever I’m kind of ‘depressed’ or just not feeling it on the computer, I work out. Maybe that’ll take the load off your shoulders a bit.
