Hi, I’d like to sell here on themeforest, but i feel my templates lack something. I don’t know exactly what it is… maybe is just unexperience. but since i like to learn, i wanted to show you a recent design i made (just for fun) and i hope to recieve critics about what i should improve.

It not as cool as the premium items here, so i really doubt i can sell something like this. Let me know what you think, and if you have suggestions about what i should concentrate more one.

here is the design

Cheers

It’s good design I think.

You need to polish the spacing, you are missing a spacing concept. Just google the following:
  • micro spacing
  • macro spacing
  • vertical rhythm
  • good luck!

Everything is way too large. This includes fonts, logo, images, etc… Everything also feels cramped..

Thanks for both answers! Really appreciated.
@dnp_theme: can you explain the difference between micro/macro spacing? I’m going to study the spacing concept a bit more!

I’m adding a bit more space to the overall design and maybe change/reduce fonts

Like folks have mentioned. It’s too cramped. You can have themes with plenty of content, but you need to find suitable amounts of whitespace around those elements.

And drop the Lobster font dude! It’s going the way of the dinosaur, and is overused way too much on this design.

+1 I can’t that font after seeing it being used all over the place.

Cheers
