Well limiting uploads is bad. If I want to add 20 quality tracks per day, why shouldn’t I be able to? It’s ultimately better for AJ as a bigger catalog attracts more potential buyers, so limiting the upload amount would also limit the money amount for Envato. And probably – for us. Audiojungle could be friendlier to new or small authors, but not at the cost of the bigger guys. They ultimately make most money for Envato.

First of all thanks to all of you for posting scores! To be honest, I wasn’t sure how many of you would post them and it’s nice to have a bit of fun. I really thought they would have taken this thread down on account of being irrelevant or whatever but I’m glad to see it up.

As for the things you’re all talking about, yeah it’s true but at the same time making a full time living off of AudioJungle is a nice idea but very unlikely. If you click on the popular files tab you see that there are only about a dozen authors who have more than 150 sales a month (I call them the Titans of AudioJungle).

Even at 150 sales a month these guys are looking at about 1050+ dollars a month (unless they get tons of extended license sales in which case they are looking at about 2000 dollars a month, also the percentage cut they get also affects their earnings) and if any of them live in a really expensive city like I do (Boston) then even 2000 bucks doesn’t go that far.

On that note though, the top 7 titans that see above 300 sales a month must be making bank because most of them are at close to the 70% commission rate and I suspect they get tons of extended licenses and from that outside commissions, those guys are doing great and really can live quite luxuriously off AudioJungle.

Also keep posting scores guys. At the end of the week I’m going to post a leader board just for fun!!
