I am looking for a cms which allows the admin to set specific users right to admin for specific pages.
So for example, User 1 can edit page one, but cannot edit page two User 2 cannot edit page one, but can edit page two. The admin can edit every page.
Does wordpress have this feature, Or a more simple cms? Any suggestions?
I think you should create cms like this….
Anyways i can make like this if you want?
Hi jadove. I have recently created a cms/blog for sale on codecanyon. Its is still in testing mode. But will be released in few days.
There are 3 types of users: 1. Superuser – with username “admin” can do anything 2. Admininstrative user, who can do almost anything 3. Author, who has access to only create posts.
Levels 1 and 2 can make their post/page only editable by them by setting checkbox when creating a page/post.
You can have a look here: front
This is the post explaining the cms/blog: http://dime3studio.com/preview/easy-blog2/p/34
If you want to only allow user to edit or add his/her own posts, just grant that user an access of “author”. And, authors can’t do anything else then creating and editing their own posts
My easy Blog 2.0 – simple CMS is now released. If you are interested please have a look at the final version. http://codecanyon.net/item/easy-blog/discussion/54549
I have a user management system as part of my site components pack that features a usergroup permission system that you use for that type of setup. But it is not a full blown CMS , just a user management system.
Edit: oh wow, didn’t notice this was two months old. Sorry for bumping this up.
That is what my RBAC for.
