Hey guys Just decided to get a new laptop, staying pc. What do you guys suggest i should get?? I have been looking around but nothing i liked so far other than the ibm levono i think it was the best of them so far. I think it was around 2k but i think that was the top of the line one from the levono family.
Let me know what you suggest or had good experience with.
Thanks
Lester

Toshiba are by far the best brand for laptops, really sturdyand reliable and good spec too. My whole family use toshiba and they are still going as fast as if they were new. Satelite Pro are their best line of laptops. Dell also seem to be quite good at laptops, although less reliable and nt as rugged. Acer are known for hardware failures and the shell/casing is never very strong. Not sure about IBM .
IMO : You can’t go wrong with toshiba!

I have a Sony and I have to admit I’m not very happy with it for the price I paid. I also have an Compaq (I think it’s owned by HP now) and it works great.

HP Tx2 and HP 6715s very good value for money!
Never think of buying a DELL laptop. I bought one from Dubai and that`s a waste of money. The battery is the major problem with this brand as the battery usage last only for one year. If you want more info pls refer their own common feed back post regarding their laptops.
Even though their Desktop seems to be ok, The laptop are #$@*.
HP or TOSHIBA is very durable. Or simply move to an APPLE ..

Today,I also bought a laptop, feeling great, clear, beautiful!!
TOSHIBA or HP.. nothing else.
I suggest looking at QOSMIO from toshiba its great.
I own the old version x305 but the new one x505 is way better and most important lighter. I use it daily and never faced a problem. (using windows 7 on it)
If you choose HP then choose between the pavillion dv7t (you can see the dv6t for 16 inch and dv8t for 18 inch) and HP HDX
Personally I own the pavillion dv7t (amazing).
I also bought 4 months ago the hdx16 for my cousin used it a couple of times and i can say its worth the money. I haven’t tried it for professinal work yet.

if you get a dell you need to rip out the RAM and HD straight away and get decent ones, so really its all models…
Thanks guys for the feedback. None of you guys use an IBM ? I heard that they are pretty good but I never owned an IBM so i do not know what to expect from it. I had an hp laptop before and i remember that it was a pretty reliable machine. Maybe i am gonna go with an hp I think you get a pretty decent machine for the price.
Thanks again. Cheers
