I have made intro for him. I have spent a lot of time, one sleepless night, because he said: ” Tomorow!!!! Tomorow !!! the launch of the team is tomorrow!!! “
When everything was done, he said: “I am not taking your project because of the price. Thanks for taking time and sorry. prolime”
At the very begining we agreed on the price.
Thanks for letting us know,
better luck next time, hopefully something similar won’t happen again.
Yeah, sh*t definitely happens, that’s why many have an up-front fees, like 30% or 50% even. You’ll soon find out that if the client is not willing to pay it, you might end up with nothing when the job is done anyway. That even prevents the client changing minds, finding a better deal maybe, and provides peace of mind for both sides, knowing you got past the first steps and secured the deal. Take up-front fees man, avoid working for free. I tend to blow in the yogurt now, once I burned myself.
he said: we want project files.
hey Guys, we agreed only on the intro. With PF will be different price!
reply: – long silence…. then not satisfied price. good bye.
I forgot about up-front fees.
We did say that we want the project file. I’m not wasting your time, we decided that 50 was for intro and the project.
But than I got a message saying 75 for project without textures.

Hey Shtep,
These things happen. Like Creative said, always take 50% upfront unless it’s a big project. And of course 50% on completion. Since you have learned a valuable lesson, I think we can go ahead and close this thread before it gets out of hand.
