(Locked) Bargain Basement - Closed

Hi all! After doing some in-depth research to determine how effective the Bargain Basement is for each marketplace, and how cost effective it is for us to run, we have decided to officially end the Bargain Basement.

Rest assured, our ongoing goal has always been to find the best ways to promote your files while staying profitable and we will continue to do so

Even I was thinking to add an item to this month.

Hi Josh, just brainstorming out loud here, maybe in the future, authors could have a similar option in their profiles, just like the featured item, but where one item from the portfolio is chosen to be displayed as a special offer. This item would automatically go for half the price (or any lower percentage).

While running the risk of polluting the author profile with an additional box, you could remove the featured item box, or even have the option where the author chooses which box to have showcased. Anyway, just a quick on-topic thought. Cheers.

Hi Josh ..smart move man ,if you are not from the envato market you can’t even find or know where the Basement is…. RIP

I think it is a good idea to close this.

More emphasis should be placed into directing users towards utilizing the search engine in order to get to what they are looking for. Better, deeper search options are a given and needed yesterday, but also a tutorial on not only how the search works but also how best to effectively use it.

I have made more sales when my items were in Bargain Basement list. For me is not good, that it is closed now.

Maybe a good move.

“how cost effective it is for us to run”.... really!? Reducing the price of an item already for sale costs you money to run. Rubbish.

It’s just another thing Envato are removing from the marketplaces.
