We’ve made a change to the way in which badges are displayed on the Envato Marketplaces that may affect you.

Due to the large amount of community badges available for users, we’ve had some cases where some of our super-involved community members have a large amount of badges being displayed around the site. In some cases this has had the unfortunate side effect of causing styling issues or just plain looking a bit weird!

This means we’ve implemented a change where by default, badges will be limited to 9 when displayed on the forums, but will remain unlimited when viewing author profiles. If you have more than 9 badges when the feature is deployed, the 9 badges displayed on the forums will be ordered alphabetically until you choose an alternate order via your settings page, under the Badges section.

If you ever are awarded a new badge, it will go to the top of your badge list until you reorder them.

We hope this change will help bring some consistency to the forums and will give you greater control of the achievements you wish to highlight.

Who cares if something broken on forums; do we really need these features?

There are few obvious things missing on the buying – selling area:

- As already suggested by many, links on item comment posted by buyers can be obscured for public view and show only to the author. (This will obviously reduce support staff’s work too. As of now, it reported and then requires staff’s hand to remove)

- Make the FAQ section little bit editable (change text or atleast allow changing the order like badges). Currently this is unusable.

- Permalink on the item comments.

- Reply button for each comment. (as of now buyers click report button mistakenly)

All those doesn’t requires magical efforts to implement but essential to avoid continuous – little pain for buyers and authors.

I noticed that you had noticed and I was about to create a thread about how you were going to start a thread. I guess we were both too late. ;)

I totally see your point VF and agree, but to be fair, the dev team are working their way through a lot of older tickets/requests in our internal system, blasting through a bunch so that they can get to the cooler stuff and better prioritize what remains.

You see that “Has Been a Member” badge I have? I only keep sticking around here because I’m so confident that one day I will wake up and we will give you guys everything you need. I’m sincerely looking forward to that day because I believe it will happen. In the meantime, many of us at Envato who interact with you guys on a day to day basis will keep representing your needs as best and as frequently as we can. Don’t be afraid to voice your constructive concerns, ideas or suggestions, the Envato Elves are always listening I can assure you. :)

Cool ! Will sort and shuffle all my 5 badges back and forth.

By the way I have idea for new badge – “Badge champion”. Give it to community members with bigest badges quantity (interesting what is maximum so far?) . :-)

Best Regards, Andrey
