Bad feedback from clients about Flash

if today i read someone saying you can do flash work by using js, it’s clear to me he doesn’t master either js or actionscript.

seriously dude ? bitfade is a master in both technologies so if I were you I would not ‘lol’ so fast. If you can reproduce his latest item in js, working smooth like that and in all major browsers, I’ll delete my flash portfolio.

And really.. why are you attacking flash on each given occasion ? Do you really have something to say and you’re not saying or ‘are you 16 y.o’ ? As long as hulu and youtube are supporting flash ( because of content protection ) there is no way it’s gonna be replaced anytime soon .

I think the title of this thread may put off a number of buyers especially Flash bundle week. Surprised it has not been locked. I think a few topics with more positive stuff would be good for the market place.

This is intended for TF authors who post here:

1. Any HTML5 /JS guru cold tell me that he can develop similar tools as http://www.aviary.com within the next 5 years?
2. Do you really think that HTML 5 , JS, Silverlite or whatever can even dream to equal the upcoming Flash Player’s GPU -accelerated 3D APIs within the next 10 years?

Different tools for different projects. Deal with it. I do HTML +CSS sites too, they look pretty and are indexed on Google, though I can do the same with Flash where’s the problem? This stupid tech religion goes nowhere. If you want to push technology, Flash is still ahead everything… HTML5 is just a patch for those Apple junkies.

This is why I stopped posting in ActiveDen, not because I don’t like Flash, but because I don’t like the community. The opinions and advice here are so often clouded with useless, misinformed cruft.

When put between a rock and a hard place, it’s really sad to see the Flash community wriggling around like petulant children, rather than focusing on the positive and amazing things that can be done.

I don’t understand why this particular niche in the design and tech industry has still not matured.

Sweeping statements aside, there are of course many exceptions, so nothing personal.
