Hi Guys,
important: maybe it is a coincidence, but what I realized after some “unqualified comments” (in my opinion) is, that sales of my item has dropped down rapidly. Before this, and since my item (first at all) was approved it was number one on “bestseller of the week” on its specific category. After this comments last week (especially on thursday/friday) I did not sold one item till today. What can I do??
The matter is following:
My theme does not support IE7 , and there are some layout breaks when you use it with this browser. However, I am aware of since I started developing it on March this year and I submitted it on last August week without selecting “supported Browsers IE7 ”; this was/is my intention. My theme gets improved and sold very well for my relationship – since this annoying comments appeared.
The buyer asked (called me attention to it) that there are errors with my item using it with IE7 , ...what I do already know…and on item details page where you can see compatible browsers, there is nothing about this “useless browser!” However, nevertheless I send the buyer a message, make a response on comments page, that I will fix it (was this a fault?). Anyhow after that he/she posted again same issue on comments page. And after last comment on friday, sales is totally broken down.
Does anybody have a good advice how to handle this? I know, the best is to fix this issue, and I am already working on it, but I have a lot of other important client work with given timeline to finish first. I am really desperated (and annoyed) about it.
Thank you all.

I think this is just a coincidence! I often had great days with over 20 sales and suddenly they dropped to 6 to 8 on the following day
Try to fix that bug for IE7 and make that specific buyer happy ( and yourself too )
Start doing some marketing and advertise your items. I’m sure sales will go up again
Cheers

Thank you for your advice, it makes me more confident. I also wrote an extensive, explanatory email to the specific person before I started this thread. I also think that this was not a bad intention (if it depends on this comments of course) of the author. But we already had contact exchange over private messages before the other comments were written. This was a bit incomprehensible to me.
Nervertheless, thank you.
I think debugging for IE 7 is a way more valuable use of time than defending why it isn’t working. We know the values of upgrading a browser, but joe-public “just wants it to work” and if it doesn’t it is just a theme that doesn’t work! I think we can tell someone complaining about IE6 where to go, but 7 is still recent in the whole scheme of things!
