Ok so i’v noticed that there’s alot of audio on FlashDen…and was just wondering what people use to make their audio files.

I’m making some loops to upload soon, I use Reason 3 which is pretty awesome (I got it for like £50 aswel which was pretty cool).

So yeah…discuss :P

I used Fruity Loops for some days, but I didn’t understand it.

That’s the only program I used.

Here I use FL Studio pretty much exclusively for all my loop work. For web loop audio composition it’s definitely the way to go for the novice. The learning curve is pretty fast, and you can get quick stuff done fast and well, in pretty much any style. Also you get 2Gigs of free samples, which is really nice.

Tracks are a different story. I think Reason is more geared to that slightly, but it’s definitely harder to learn to use for those unfamiliar with musical hardware.

I have fruityloops working with reason. Fruity is a brilliant program. The in built tutorials aren’t that good but if you search the web you should be able ti find all the help you need.

A lot of people say it’s geared towards trance/techno styles of music. But that’s only because of the vst’s it comes with. A decent vst and a bit of know how you can compose almost anything on it. Alot of house music I make is 60% made within fruity loops. Alot of well know Drum and Bass producers use Fruity as there main tool too.

Behringer mixer with a “condensator” mic (not sure if that’s the proper english word for it though)

M-Audio midi keyboard for easy editing + tons of old keyboards & gadgets.

Main PC : Reason 3.0 & Cubase for creating, Wavelab 5.0 for sound editing. Travel Laptop : Fruityloops (if i get bored and want to make music & write down ideas) But i rarely use it now days. I have it installed due to its low system requirements.

And ofcourse tons of home made sample CDs i’ve created over a period of 12 years. (with my own created sounds)

Yeah, i think that’s it.. there’s probably more though :D

I totally agree. It’s true that there’s that misconception about FL being geared towards electronica only, but I think it’s gradually fading since the last couple version releases. I use it as often for writng jazz, classical, ethnic music, rock, whatever a project needs. Good Soundfonts help too, if you have the soundfont plugin. You can make all kinds of traditional tunes, and when you mix in some well balanced electro sounds, you can get some really nice music put together.

Almost ready to upload a whole bunch of new singles and packs here. All styles, stay tuned :)
