Adobe sets date for CS4 launch

Adobe on Tuesday said it will release an update to its flagship Creative Suite software bundle on September 23.

The company has offered few details of the planned CS4 release. The current iteration of the suite, CS3 , is offered in several configurations that include various combinations of the company’s core applications, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Acrobat and InDesign.

Just ahead of the CS3 launch last March, Adobe made available a public beta test version of Photoshop CS3 . For CS4 , the company in May posted preview versions of its Dreamweaver Web design software, Fireworks image editing application, and Soundbooth audio editing tools.

That is fast :)
But i didn’t know the article is right, if you see the reactions:

Adobe is not releasing CS4 on Sept 23. The Sept 23 event is an online broadcast detailing what CS4 will offer. No date has yet been set for the CS4 release

It doesn’t matter, CS3 into action script 3.0 And the coming CS4 all this in 2 years or so, that’s crazy I think. The others version of flash where not so significant in there basic change CS3 was a big change because of AS3 and from what I know CS4 will be even more of a dramatic in the matter of change, you need to be on your type of your game to handles all this as a flasher/developer …..

I doubt that CS4 will mean there will be AS4 , but I could be wrong. Usually the language itself lasts for a few versions.

Nahh AS4 won’t appear in a new few years I guess, what coming with CS4 is some upgrade and additonal features to the current AS3 language.
