Oh sorry, I thought I had selected Item Requests before posting, thanks
Something I notice in every social icons pack on GR (or CodeCanyon) is that none [afaik] include Snipplr despite it’s now an Envato site, so it may be interesting to consider it for the next packs you will create
Sure I’ll send some too, I’ve been doing a lot of CSS3 buttons lately because of two customer projects and had a couple extra ideas I wanted to try out.
I have been following themeforest for quite sometime now. I have always been debating whether or not to submit. But I have a question. How come it seems like these are now required for a template here?
- It must have a slider – mainly 3 different types of sliders
- It must have a portfolio
- It must have a contact form that works
- It must have a blog section
Does anyone else seem like this is overkill? Not all sites have sliders, or a portfolio. Why should there be a blog page for a html template? I can see if you convert it to wordpress but I would never convert it (I just don’t know wordpress that good)
Is there a major difference in sales if you are missing one of those listed?
Thanks – Freddy
It’s not overkill, the more the merrier
You could also add a Cufon option: nice fonts are always a plus.
And you may want to release a PSD -only version as well (you most likely already have the PSD ready to upload in the full version anyway) in case some people get scared by the price of the full-featured version.
A fallback could be to allow authors to provide an optional “hover preview” image, that way they could still provide both a big one for the actual details page like usual, and a smaller/cropped (but high resolution enough) image for the mouseover.
Otherwise I agree that it’s kinda too small when you’re used to the old system (new users probably don’t mind).

Joined (wildpeaks), and lately it’s just L4D /L4D2 or CS:S (except this week, the last 5 nights were Deus Ex/The Nameless Mod).
I can’t get hooked on TF2 for some reason however
And I think because customers that bought the item should still be able to dl it.Actually, it may be nice to automatically send a message to people that bought the file before it’s permanently deleted.
+1, HDR Shop is pretty good for that.
I won this one in two categories, but never got the badgeSpeak to support man!![]()
