So lately, the past 5 months I noticed a HUGE decrease in sales. After watching this trend and seeing what has been selling and what has not been selling, I googled my product headline. Sure enough there’s about 2 solid pages in google of websites that have my products up there to download for free. Anyone else have this problem?

That is going to be my last resort. The reason I do not want to do that is because if someone decides to put my product on torrent sites then everyone will be open to that promo code. I would only like the person that purchased the item to have full access to that Item Purchase Code.

How can I find out the Item Purchase Code for MY OWN items versus the items I bought? I plan on having the Item Purchase Code as a promo code for our website. For instance, if you buy my item from me on graphicriver, you get 10% off your order but you have to input the Item Purchase Code in the promo code. I need to know how to get to that so I can active the promo code for people to use.

Any ideas?

So this is what went down, I sent this reply to him—

As much as I would love to help you out with this situation, I cannot send you the Sleek Proposal for free when you purchased the Professional Proposal. It’s against Envato’s policy and as an author, I cannot afford to lose that.

The best thing you can do right now is contact support and explain the problem to them. As far as me sending you a free file it is infrininging copyright laws and can get in trouble for it. It’s really out of my hands, the only thing I can suggest is purchasing the other proposal for an extra $8.

Again, I am really sorry I cannot help you with this situation and would hope you understand that. I respectfully ask that you do not leave any type of negative rating that could harm me on graphic river.

He replied with an understanding message and purchased the Sleek Proposal. I just cannot afford to lose my GR account due to breaking Envatos policy.. Plus, it just isn’t fair to others in my opinion.

I could understand if this was some high priced item, but its not my fault at all so I don’t feel or think it would be fair to do give him the Sleek Proposal. Either way, isn’t there some policy behind this stating authors cannot give out files that are for sale? Kind of common sense eh?

So I have a customer that purchase my Professional Proposal and thought he purchased my Sleek Proposal. He wants me to send him the Sleek Proposal. He claims it was an honest mistake during the purchase because he thought he was purchasing the Sleek Proposal rather then the Professional Proposal. Any ideas? I always help my customers but this is the first time this came across my inbox.
