So, the common themes should be allowed at the market place and not refused because of being common. Correct?

Because that is what people want to buy, but as a developer on themeforest, it is a primary requirement for the thing to be unique enough to be accepted.

I have started believing that coming up with something really unique can be risky business. You spend a long time creating that uniqueness but you can never predict if people are really going to buy it.

Imitating the best sellers at least assures some good compensation as it reflects the trend of the market however it still bears some risk. Many of us often come across the “market saturated with this type of theme” reason while submitting a theme.

Hi friends,

I just ended up spending a real long time working hard on a creative theme, but it is disheartening (and a common thing with many), that the theme does not get well promoted and ends up lying under tons of files at themeforest.

Most of you guys have a great experience and maybe you can guide me on tips to promote the thing. And, how to go about submitting my theme for review on magazine sites? I was trying to find some submission form at the smashing magazine, but could not find such a thing.

I am looking forward to some guidance in this direction.

Hi Friends,

I have been trying to submit my new theme to themeforest but it keeps getting bouncing off due to inadequate quality and aesthetic standards.

I am a programmer and so not much experienced with the designer’s eye of precision in terms of aesthetics.

Please advice on the looks of my design. Your feedback is highly appreciated.

what you can do is, issue a request in the beginning of every month

“all the money that gets accumulated in my account till the end of this month i.e., 31st. Do not forget to have that delivered to me by the 15th of net month”

(you can convey this msg via the options available over there, It may not get you your money any sooner but at least you can simply issue a request during early days of the month and then forget about it)

Turn off any sidebars on the page and you will be left with a full width. Put your tables and stuff inside the html content box where you edit the page. And I guess, put some css in the style.css file.
