Hi, I wonder if any one can help solve my problem. I cant figure it out.

Im currently making a site. Which includes a streaming mp3 player.

My mp3 player works from an XML file. I can get it working no problem in Internet Explorer and Opera. On those two versions the player works and I see the album covers. But when it comes to loading up firefox(latest version) I can hear the music playing but I can not see the images of the albums.

I have searched various forums on the net. But Im very stuck.

Does any one know why I cant see the images in firefox?

The site is…

Hi im wondering if any one has came across this little problem.

Im currently building a site, with a flash mp3 and video players built in.

I have uploaded all my files… Works great in internet explorer 7, the latest opera version.

But here’s the but! in the latest version of firefox(2.7) my mp3 player plays the songs… but the xml images that are placed in this mp3 player do not show up at all, all i get is a blank image.. on the other browsers i mentioned the images show up. Is this a bug in the latest version of firefox? or not?

Im currently trying to find firefox 2.6 and install that.. but… can i find it. Nope!

Does any one have any ideas why this is happening?

btw… if i view these files offline(ie on my pc) I can see them fine in firefox

Thank you,

I think i can get away with keeping the .swf file the same size. I just need to re-position it, I have a bit of a gap above the player and below my xhtml header for this site.

I have a div tag called content, and inside that is the player and an image. I just need to float that image to the right and postion both objects so they are side by side.

Whats the best way of putting that flash object into the css? if you could give me an example, that would be great.

Should i open the statement like this..

content mp3player {positons go here…}

or is there another way of doing?

Thank you for the swift reply.

I have figured it out i think. I have put the .swf and xml both in the root directory.. and it seems to work ok now. Fingers crossed.

How easy is it to style flash with css? Can you make the player smaller by just using css alone?

Kind regards

Hi Im wondering if any one can help me.. im currently working on a site. The Html stuff and Css I have no problems with.

My problem is.. implementing this flash mp3 player that works with xml.

I have uploaded my player to my site. But all i seem to get is just a pure white background… on both Explorer and Mozilla.

I have been following this as a guide…

http://www.dgx.cz/trine/item/how-to-correctly-insert-a-flash-into-xhtml

Seemed pretty straight foward, but im getting the white background, where my flash player should be… it works fine on my pc.. when I use both browsers. But when i upload. I get the dreaded white screen. Could any one help me out? im very new to flash. Here is my code for the flash bit:

<\IE]>—> <!- <![endif]-> <!—[if IE]> <object classid=”clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000” codebase=”http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0” width=”300” height=”135”> <<" alt="" />>

This is alternative content.

<!- <![endif]->

I understand my xml file has to be in the root.. ie where my other html files are.. I have also tried putting my .swf file there two.. but I cant seem to figure this out.

I would realy appreciate it if some one could spend a little bit of time helping me sort this out.

Kind regards

I have purchased some lovely flash video players and mp3 players from this site. Im creating a XHTML site.. with these flash elements. I use CSS to set the look of the site.

But Im kind of stuck on how to position flash objects using CSS , can any one point me in the direction of where im going wrong.

What im doing is giving these objects a div tag for example:

I have taken the brackets out because it wont show up on here

div id=”mp3” My flash goes here with width and height elements /div
