With that budget I’m pretty sure you won’t find anybody available to build your intros… if you find someone, I’m pretty sure that the animations won’t be miitiiche

that depends we speak about a combined budget of 200$ It could be enough for a couple of hours of work. But offcourse all depends of the type of animations requested

if an author had this option to have a reviewer at his fingertips and provide him with an update and expect the update to happen in a couple of hours at maximum, less care it will be invested in debugging the item before being uploaded for approval.

if you know that an eventual update can take days or weeks you need to focus on making the item bullet proof.

Now I see on this forums that when the bug in a file is caused by the marketplaces itself or by some external factor that have no connection with the author, the reviewers will try to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

But if the bug had happened because the author didn’t verify well enough the item, well, then you get punished my long waiting times.

that was my impression also, but maybe he was tired of reading endless page of people complaining for every new move envato makes. I don’t think it was intended as not caring about authors opinion.

there was a thread were the staff asked for suggesting on how to promote the marketplaces. I can’t find it, someone have a link to it?

There is also a chance that people will be disappointed by the WP bundle and then join AD

Most of the times we (authors) want to find the cause of our little problems elsewhere, when probably we just need to look at ourselves. The marketplace is changing and it will always change. What we have to do is to adapt our production to the new market rules, that’s it.

I understand the “blame” mechanism that people can have, when someone blame everyone else when they should blame themselves. But in this specific case it not apply.

Let me explain.

Competition between authors is good. It brings more quality item to the marketplace. Buyer wins, they have a good array of items to chose from, envato wins, and authors also wins.

But competition between authors AND marketplace is BAD . Multiple motives here, as it was stated. For example. marketplace can put a banner on every author item page and even on his profile page. The item that envato sell is absolutely ridiculous priced. (250+$ value for 30$) It is very difficult for a single author to compete against this. Especially when is not a top author.

Also, the fact that top authors are complaining about this move should ring an alarm bell somewhere.

First off, I’ve been following AD’s stats hourly all day and have seen nothing to cause any concern. In fact, I was actually expecting there to be a slight drop, especially the first day, but that hasn’t happened. Overall sales on AD don’t seem to have been affected at all by the bundle.

well mathematically speaking, the overall sales had not drop because there was a shift in sales translated on the bundle item. The bundle has now 1097 sales and if the overall sales have not decreased as you say and I presume from your post the sales have not increased also, we clearly have a shift of sales from authors towards the bundle.
