I am new to Illustrator but many things are fast learned, I had experience in photoshop. However, I am currently on a project whereby an object (a) is placed on top of another object (b) and the a object is given no color but the border is. Now I need to substract the border of object a from object b. When I use the path finder it substracts the entire a object, also the inner area (which has no color).

How can I best do this without losing the quality and resize option?

I am currently in the design process of a business card. The logo that I am using is originally really big and I had to scale it down, but when I scale down an imagine in Illustrator the DPI will go up.

The printing company prefers the .ai file for upload, and based on my ai file they rejected it because the dpi of the logo (as part of the business card) had a higher dpi.

So I was hoping maybe one of you can explain this to me, and probably others diving into the illustrator adventure: printing requires a dpi of 300. But how can I set this dpi for the images used in the artboard.

I would recommend going for the IMAC simply because the latest Mac Pro model is from 2010 and the chipset doesn’t support thunderbolt. With eye on the latest video editing software (fcpx) it seems apple is moving away from the pro market and I think they are developing the imac more actively and therefore problems are solved sooner. (Like the nas problem was solved on the imac in a few days but the mac pro still doesnt support all the nas brands)

That’s ofcourse also possible, but a lot of developers here are guys (and girls) who create these scripts in their own time. So I believe it’s also a kind of motivation to buy a script in the early stages….

I like to browse and when I find a script which has the potential but isn’t good enough at that time I sometimes still buy it. So I have it and can use it when it has grown.

Unfortunately, lately a lot of scripts get removed while a lot of the scripts are good. Is there a reason why scripts get removed by envato or the author, and don’t you think buyers should get a reason why the script has been removed?

Does someone have experience with email marketing, and what is important, What would you do, mailchip or a script hosted on your own servers?
