Personally, I’d go without the $30 and save myself the hassle. It’s also why I usually have a minimum payment level of half a day. I find that jobs under that just aren’t worth the trouble.
I completely agree, something as low as $30 isn’t worth my time of work when I could be doing other things. Add the PayPal fees and other time costs and what you get in the end isn’t that much…

Could be a server issue, doesn’t make sense that the bitrate has any influence on the variations in loading times. Lost of members, sometimes heavier load, sometimes lighter, etc.
That’s what I thought, but I kept note of all the portfolio buffer times etc. The same video stops playing at the exact same spot, every single time. The items that never stop playing NEVER stop playing. The videos with buffer issues always have buffer issues at the exact same spot, so I’m assuming it’s the file’s fault rather than the servers.
Hello everyone,
I’m not quite sure what the cause for this is but all my portfolio items buffer at different ‘rates’ I should say. I render all my portfolio items using the SAME preset:
- FLV (Automatic FPS ) - 640×360 - Bitrate 800 - MPEG Layer 3 44.100kHz, Stereo 128kbits/sec audio
I’m suspecting it’s the bitrate that’s causing the long buffering issue but they all use the same bit rate. Some of my long videos buffer faster than my really short ones, sometimes vise versa. The point is, only ‘some’ of my portfolio items buffer slow and stop during the preview and some don’t at all. I was just wondering how I could fix this buffering issue. What bitrate do you guys use for your videos? What do you suggest?
Thanks
Kind of depends on what you’re ‘depressed’ about, there’s certain work-arounds for different things but if you’re lacking inspiration, take a walk like Felt said.
Whenever I’m kind of ‘depressed’ or just not feeling it on the computer, I work out. Maybe that’ll take the load off your shoulders a bit.

Just looking again at the top 5 authors, all being over or very near 500 sales. This definitely bodes well for Videohive, and suggests that Envato is doing a phenomenal job bringing more customers to our marketplaces. With so many authors being able to sell so many files, things are looking very good in terms of growth.
Very exciting numbers!
Indeed, these are exciting results! Congratulations to all! I’d be happy to sell even 100 items a month, maybe even in 2 months
I completely agree with you cyzer, unfortunately how long it takes you to make a project doesn’t mean it’s a better product to meet demands on VideoHive which probably made them price it a little lower than you expected. It happens to me too!
Strangely enough, some of my short term projects made 3x more sales than my long hard projects. Whatever the customers want
(It probably also has something to do with specifications. If you’re spending a lot of time on a project, you’re usually making it pretty precise and aimed towards a category that the ‘general people’ dont really need at the moment. E.g. awesome space stuff. A project may be an awesome project but it may not be an awesome seller.)

Very clever
Amazing opportunity, I’m definitely interested!
I’ve been using ATI for awhile and although it works fine, I like nVidia better. It seems to do better in benchmarking tests compared to my ATI card and like jwmcpeak said, more stable drivers.
Congratulations Felt_Tips, he definitely is a great author!
