Hi,
we have made the same experience with our Nevada Theme which has been launched in September last year. As far as we can say, 1 out of 10 customers rates you item. And our Nevada Theme was doing really well in first few days and then suddenly within a few hours ( 2-3 ) we received lots of ratings paired with sales at the same time and the theme went down to 4 Stars out of nowhere, no user complains before or any bug reports on the forums. It took a few days to recover the 5 Stars. We can’t say in which dimension it hurts the sales but it was a really bad feeling.
Best Regards UT

Hi,
we had something similar a few weeks ago. One of our customers was complaining that our theme does not work and hijacked his server with damage to the database. In the end we found a code snippet inside the functions.php which was able to reproduce itself to every functions.php inside the theme folder. So whenever the user changed a theme or installed a new one, the code copied itself into each functions.php on the server. The initial reason where this code came from is still undiscovered but can has several reasons.
So this error still appears on a complete naked WordPress installation with a standard WordPress theme?

Hi Jonathan,
yes you are right most of us are not visiting the notes , so thank you for sharing this one. To us it sounds like the whole system is category driven. So if you decide to place one of your items inside the GPL category it will be 100% GPL otherwise its split licensed. But still not sure about it.
Cheers UT
