Use the RSS feed :) It’s not hard, it’s fast and makes no db calls and if you want you can use it on a different server :)

Can I isolate it so it only shows posts from a certain category. This is what I need the most.

I need to extract certain posts from the wordpress blog outside the wordpress installation, which also needs to be styled in a unique way. I want to show recent posts but restricted to a category or ID or something so only a certain type of posts are shown.

How can I best do this.

Thanks in advance.

I didn’t use Odesk but I did use freelancer and other services.

I can only say be careful. I had to go through 10 programmers to find one who wasnt lying and could do the job. And he is over the top arrogant and strange but still. I hope I never have to go through that again.

It looks like something I have seen before. Especially below the header and the footer. The logo is not so nice.

Thats all I can say the rest is fine.

The way we displayed it has changed but you aren’t paying anymore than you used to. :)

Its the “glass half full, half empty” thing that is going on here.

The best approach is to let buyers think the glass is half full but maybe it is more practical this way.

I think that a lot of people who spend money on things, anything – even digital goods, no matter how good the value is or what the actual reality of what the product support expectations are will always have the idea in mind that ‘the customer is always right’. Unfortunately some people seem to take this a license to become very demanding and perhaps rude on occasion – which is a shame, but honestly a part of life when you deal directly with customers.

It’s just important in my opinion to stick to your values, don’t let anything customers say get to you and remain professional. After all, this is your own personal business.

Try and stay objective and take the emotion out of this stuff.

Also, it’s worth pointing out that we’ve got a lot of newbie buyers that might not necessarily understand how the industry works. It’s frustrating, but I wouldn’t get too upset with them because of that lack of knowledge.

Just my 2 cents :-P

Problem is you empower them to keep this trend going through your rating system. Also you do not properly educate your butyers to take support as something to be thankful of rather than something they can demand. If it was just support great but now it is actual work.

By design you can make sure the culture changes back into a more friendly and realistic one. But only Envato can do something about this.Shrugging it off as it is just the way it is is lame.

I already have 2 hardcore windows laptops at 17 inch and 1920×1200 displays so for me I need something a lot more mobile. I was thinking 13 incher for cafe’s and office supplement and a nice Dell screen when home. I just cant work on sub 1920×1200 screens anymore. I have been working with this res for almost 5 years now.

I found that workin in a cafe sitting outoors is a good way for me t break up the day and avoid the feeling of being imprisoned so I think I will go with the 13 incher.

I brought this up months ago but sadly most people didn’t think this to be a problem. Now we are knee deep in it like I said we would be. Oh well… Maybe this could be a learning experience for Envato.
